I was asked to do another submission for the
Kingdom Keepers Calendar. After talking with the woman I learned that
Maleficent plays a large role in some of the books. She's one of my
favorite Disney bad guys so I jumped at the chance to draw her only to
learn that they can't legally use the Disney movie version so I had to
give her a bit of a redesign while keeping her recognizable.
